Who should I trust?

Outdoor counselling plus dog

There are many qualified counsellors who could help you. These are available through websites such as counselling directory. Look for counsellors who are registered with a professional organisation and check their code of ethics  so that you know what to expect.  Most counsellors will not charge for the initial consultation and it may be worth talking to a few people before you find the right person. Often it comes down to whether you feel you can trust the person you are working with and whether they understand and recognize your needs.

Like many counsellors I am a registered member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP) which means that I abide by their code of ethics. I am also DBS checked and receive regular supervision for my work. Unlike most counsellors I work on-line, outdoors or indoors depending on your needs.

I provide an initial half hour phone consultation for free with no obligation to continue, so if you are thinking of counselling but aren’t sure if this is for you, why not give me a call?
