Come and join me on a Pilgrimage from the industrial heart of Yorkshire into the hills and valleys of the Dales; taking in sacred sites, breathtaking scenery and spiritual landmarks.
The Pilgrimage starts at Bradford’s Hindu Cultural Centre and follows the route of the popular Dales Way. Over 5 days we will pass stone circles, ancient rock carvings and visit ruined Abbeys, relics of the infamous “Pilgrimage of Grace”. The walk ends at the Meditation Centre in the historic village of Dent.
This is a chance to put aside normal concerns and to slow down to the gentler pace of walking. There will be opportunities to meditate and to walk silently. There will be times to chat, share meals and to be alone. We will be staying with local people and in B and Bs with campsites nearby. For those who want to travel light there is a baggage collection service.
The pilgrimage is suitable for those with reasonable levels of fitness.
Cost: Expected donation of £750. This includes 6 night’s accommodation and food. Large reductions for those camping and self catering. Not included is travel, picking up or dropping off. The baggage transfer service is £10 a day.
Places are limited.
